Fear can be considered the Kingpin of all other emotions. Scripture talks more about fear and anxiety than any other emotion we contend with. Our fears can be extremely powerful forces of persuasion to how we make decisions.
Fear is something Jesus emphatically commands us to reject! In fact, to the extent we are told to love God and others, we are also told not to fear. One is who God is, and the other is everything God is not.
The book of Jeremiah tells us that God is a fearsome warrior. This is His nature, and it was in this fearsome nature that Christ walked unshakably to the cross to win our freedom – and it is this nature we have access to as we walk in the Spirit!
Your birthright as a Child of God is to walk with the same fearsome determination to carry out the Father’s will for your life. Fear is the enemy of all God has planned for your life, and until you learn to identify and reject it, as Christ Himself demonstrated, you will never be able to fully walk in the purposes God has for your life.
